The Wii? Exerting? Dangerous?

So, I’m confused about something. It may have to do with my regular attempt at ostracizing myself from the rest of the geek community. I regularly poke fun at my friends’ interests in things like Star Wars, Star Trek, William Shatner in general, and most of all, video games.

This is not to say that I don’t have geeky interests of my own, worthy themselves of being made fun of — such as my completely unapologizing love for Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

But my distance from my gamer friends might be the reason why I’m so confused about the Nintendo Wii, and why everyone seems so surprised about the effects of its new controller technology. Continue reading ‘The Wii? Exerting? Dangerous?’

Hillary on the ticket means a GOP win

It may not be announced. It may still only be a rumor. But we all know she’s going to do it, and many of us are wincing at the thought.

Unless pigs take flight, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton will soon announce her 2008 presidential bid. If she announces, she seems poised to have the nomination gift-wrapped for her.

But if she does get the nod, if all of these what-ifs come to fruition, I truly believe it will translate into a Republican win in 2008. Continue reading ‘Hillary on the ticket means a GOP win’
